NLCA hosted NECP in a nonconference baseball game Monday. The visitors scored two runs in the top of the first. NLCA cut the deficit to one in the bottom of the first and tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the second inning.

The Huskies added two runs in the top of the third to take a 4-2 lead and added two insurance runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Garret Williamson started for the Warriors and was relieved in the fifth by Chayce Joyner.

Jalen Bryant went 2-3 for NLCA and made an outstanding throw from center field in the fifth inning to nail a Husky runner trying to score from third.

The loss drops NLCA to 0-2 overall and 0-0 in the conference. NLCA travels to Ahoskie Tuesday for a conference came with Ridgecroft Academy.
