Lady Warriors Rally to Defeat Ridgecroft

Down 19-4 at the half Coach Curtis Baggett’s Lady Warriors turned the tables on the visiting ladies from Ridgecroft Monday night outscoring the visitors 22-6 in the second half for a great comback 26-25 win.

Ridgecroft opened the game in a full court press and the host Warriors were taken completely out of their offense.

Coach Baggett switched to a box-and-one defense to start the second half and matched up Makenna Gelo  on the Ridgecroft point guard. Gelo was instruemental in taking Ridgecroft out of their offense creating several steals along the way.

Shanlee Anderson and Lanie Ricks, both scoreless in the first half scored eight and twelve points respectively in the second half to lead the Lady Warrior comeback. Meredyth Jones came off the bench to run the offense when Anderson got into second half foul trouble and continued to direct the Lady Warrior rally.
