NLCA 60 Garnett 47

NLCA boys resumed conference play Thursday night when they traveled to play defending conference champion, Garnett.

The visiting Warriors lead 20-11 at the end of the first quarter running a quick break offense and upped the score to 37-24 at the half.

Center Jordan Pittman electrified the Warrior faithful with a tomahawk dunk in the third quarter as the fast-breaking Warriors finished the quarter leading by twenty, 55-35.

Coach Mills substituted freely in the final frame and the host Lions trimmed the Warrior lead down to eleven. However, NLCA regrouped and earned their second conference win of the season 60-47.

Jordan Pittman led three Warriors in double figures with 14 points. Luke Garnett had a game-high 35 points for the host Lions.

NLCA 42 Ridgecroft 24

Coach Alan Mills Warrior boys traveled to Ahoskie Tuesday to play nonconference foe, Ridgecroft.

After a rather sluggish first quarter, the visiting Warriors were able to get several fast-break baskets in the second quarter and led 21-12 at the half.

NLCA continue to push the ball up the court and turned a nine point lead at halftime into a 13 point lead at the end of the third quarter.

Brock Leonard had a game-high 13 points for the visitors. In all, ten Warriors scored at least one basket in the win. Finn Dunn and Michael Brown each has six points for the host Rams.
