Dual Enrollment with Nash Community College

Parents of rising Juniors and Seniors, We have some very exciting news!  NLCA has partnered with Nash Community College to offer our upcoming juniors and seniors dual enrollment. This means that the students will be able to leave our campus and go to Nash or enroll online to take college classes while finishing up their high school requirements. Nash is offering many different pathway options for college certificates for our students to join. Huskies down Warriors 6-2

NECP 6 NLCA 2 NLCA hosted NECP in a nonconference baseball game Monday. The visitors scored two runs in the top of the first. NLCA cut the deficit to one in the bottom of the first and tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the second inning. The Huskies added two runs in the top of the third to take a 4-2 lead and added two insurance runs in the bottom of the fourth. Warrior Boys Take Second Place in Conference Tournament Victory 64 NLCA 35 NLCA played in the conference tournament championship game on last Saturday against Victory Academy. Victory Christian 68 NLCA 65 NLCA hosted Victory Christian Academy  Tuesday night.  The host Warriors got off to a very slow start and Victory hit almost every shot they took. Coach Mills’ Warriors never got into a rhythm in the first half while Victory did everything right and would lead at halftime 39-23. Warrior Boys top Patriots

NLCA 67   Cornerstone 28 Coach Alan Mills’s Warrior Boys hosted the Cornerstone Patriots Thursday in a conference matchup. Earlier in the season NLCA had defeated Cornerstone 55-28. The host Warriors dominated the game from the opening tipoff and used a smothering defense to contest every Patriot shot. NLCA connected on five 3-pointers and committed only three turnovers for the game. Leading 41-12 at the half, Coach Mills was able to substitute liberally and nine different Warriors got into the scoring column. Lady Warriors defeat Ridgecroft

Lady Warriors Rally to Defeat Ridgecroft Down 19-4 at the half Coach Curtis Baggett’s Lady Warriors turned the tables on the visiting ladies from Ridgecroft Monday night outscoring the visitors 22-6 in the second half for a great comback 26-25 win. Ridgecroft opened the game in a full court press and the host Warriors were taken completely out of their offense. NLCA 45 Garnett 19 NLCA’s Lady Warriors won their second game of the week last Thursday and got their first conference win of the season with a 45-19 victory over Garnett. NLCA 60 Garnett 47 NLCA boys resumed conference play Thursday night when they traveled to play defending conference champion, Garnett. The visiting Warriors lead 20-11 at the end of the first quarter running a quick break offense and upped the score to 37-24 at the half.
