Lady Warriors defeat Ridgecroft

NLCA 24 Ridgecroft 14 NLCA’s Lady Warriors got their first win of the season with a  24-14 win over Ridgecroft.  Lanie Ricks and Olivia Kelly led the offensive attack for the visiting Lady Warriors each scoring 10 points. NLCA led at the half 16-4.   Ridgecroft out scored NLCA in the third quarter 6-2. However, Coach Baggett’s Lady Warriors were not about to get this one get away. Shanlee Anderson dished out eight assists in the win. Coach Baggett had high praise for the way his point guard ran the offense. Eagles top Warriors

Victory Christian 77 NLCA 41 The host Victory Christian Academy Eagles used their superior height and deadly perimeter shooting Tuesday night to defeat the visiting Warriors 77-41. The younger Warriors battled hard against the taller Eagles who hit five 3-pointers in second quarter and yet trailed by only ten at the half. However, the superior height advantage and defensive pressure by the host team wore down NLCA in the second half. Announcements 1-10-2016

NLCA will be closed Wednesday, January 11th due to icy secondary road conditions. Middle and High School students will have their Monday exams on Thursday . Next Monday, January 16th will still be a holiday. Friday, January 20th will be a half day for all students. Report cards will sent out on Monday, January 23rd. Snow days will be made up on February 20th, March 20th, and April 14th....

NLCA Boys top RMA

NLCA 62 RMA 22 Coach Alan Mill’s Warrior Boys team returned to action Thursday night hosting crosstown foe Rocky Mount Academy. NLCA showed no rust from the two-week layoff as they jumped out to a 16-5 first quarter lead and led by 26 at the half. Ten different Warriors got into the scoring column with Mack Leonard having a game-high 15 points while brother Brock Leonard was right behind him with 14 points. Pancake and Sausage Supper

Join us on Thursday, January 26th for a pancake and sausage dinner at NLCA. You maky take-out or eat-in between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm.  Beverage is included if you eat-in. Huskies take two from Warriors

Warriors Suffer First Loss   Coach Alan Mill’s NLCA Warriors suffered their first loss of the season Tuesday to the Huskies of NECP.The taller, aggressive Huskies forced 32 Warrior turnovers en route to a 70-38 win. The host Warriors also hurt themselves with 13 missed free throws and several missed layup opportunities. Warriors Remain Undefeated Defeat Greenfield 51-20 Coach Alan Mill’s Warriors remained undefeated with a 51-20 win over the Knights of Greenfield Academy in Wilson Monday night. Jordan Mills scored six of the Warriors fourteen first quarter points as the visitors led 14-3 to start the second quarter. Leading 20-9 at the half New Life outscored the host Knights 18-7 in the third quarter to take a commanding 38-16 lead into the final frame. Greenfield defeats Lady Warriors in Double OT

Lady Warriors fall to Greenfield in Double OT NLCA’s Lady Warriors rallied from a five point deficit going into the fourth quarter to force overtime with host Greenfield Academy in Wilson Monday night. Lady Warriors fall to Lady Patriots Coach Curtis Baggett’s Lady Warriors traveled to Wilson Tuesday for their conference opener with the Lady Patriots of Cornerstone Christian Academy.
